Day 1 – Luxor
Arrival to Safaga port, you will be met by our representative and your Egyptologist and start your drive to Luxor.
Arrive Luxor and start your tour by the impressive Karnak Temple, known as the “Temple of All Temples.” See the obelisks, the sacred lake, and the great hypostyle hall, continue to Luxor Temple. Lunch. And check-in your hotel overlooking the Nile.
In the evening, Sound and Light by horse carriage to enjoy this open museum city.
Possibility to walk around in the market, maybe enjoy a Turkish coffee or tea with mint on one of the local cafes.
Back and overnight in your hotel.
Day 2 – Luxor
Breakfast at your hotel.
Check-out and start your tour to the West Bank of the Nile and the wondrous Valley of the Kings, a vast city of the dead, where you will visit at least 2 tombs carved deep into the desert rocks.
Continue to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut built by a female pharaoh, the temple shows series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.
On the way, stop at the famed Colossi of Memnon, two 66ft, 1 thousand ton statues of Amenhotep III. These colossal statues were known by the ancient Greeks to emit haunting voices at dawn. Continue driving to Safaga to rejoin your cruise.
