Day 3Wednesday, July 28, 2027 – The Grand Egyptian Museum (B, L)

Breakfast at your hotel then join your private Egyptologist guide. Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization. Overlooking the Giza Plateau, this extraordinary museum houses thousands of artifacts spanning more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history. Here you will admire the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time, including his golden throne, chariots, ceremonial beds, jewelry, and the breathtaking solid gold funerary mask.

The museum’s monumental Grand Staircase is lined with colossal statues of kings and gods, offering a dramatic introduction to the greatness of ancient Egypt. Through its carefully curated galleries, you will journey chronologically from the earliest dynasties to the height of the New Kingdom, gaining deeper insight into royal power, religious beliefs, daily life, and artistic mastery.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4Thursday, July 29, 2027 – Cairo Old Civilizations & Khan el Khalili (B, L)

Breakfast at your hotel, then join your private Egyptologist guide to explore the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, including the extraordinary Royal Mummies Hall. Located in Old Cairo, the historic heart of Egypt’s capital, this remarkable museum is the only institution in the country that presents a complete overview of Egyptian history, from prehistoric times through the Pharaonic, Greco Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and modern eras.

Within the Royal Mummies Hall, you will encounter the carefully preserved remains of some of Egypt’s greatest rulers, displayed with dignity in a setting designed to reflect the solemnity of their original burial chambers. Throughout the museum, rare artifacts, interactive displays, and carefully curated galleries offer a comprehensive understanding of how Egyptian civilization evolved over thousands of years while maintaining its unique cultural identity.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Later, wander through the vibrant lanes of Khan el Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest and most famous markets in the Middle East. Browse colorful shops filled with handcrafted jewelry, lanterns, spices, perfumes, and traditional souvenirs. Relax in a historic coffee shop, mingle with locals, and enjoy authentic Egyptian beverages in a setting that has welcomed traders and travelers for centuries.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5Friday, July 30, 2027 – Abu Simbel & Nile Cruise (B, L, D)

Transfer to Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, connect with your onward flight to Abu Simbel to visit the two magnificent temples built by Ramses the Great. These monumental temples were entirely relocated to their current position, 90 feet above their original site, in one of the greatest archaeological rescue operations in history, undertaken to protect them from the rising waters of the Nile following the construction of the Aswan High Dam in the early 1960s.

After your visit, fly back to Aswan, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your Nile Cruise. Enjoy lunch on board as you begin your unforgettable Nile experience.

Later, take a short motorboat ride to the stunning Temple of Philae, beautifully situated on the Agilkia Island,. This elegant temple complex was dedicated to Isis, sister and wife of Osiris, and served as an important religious center during the Ptolemaic period.

Return to your cruise for dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a walk through the vibrant Aswan Market, one of the most famous and historic markets in Africa, renowned for its colorful displays of spices, herbs, and local goods.

Day 6Saturday, July 31, 2027 – Temples Along the Nile (B, L, D)

Visit the magnificent Temple of Sobek, dedicated to the crocodile headed god of fertility and creator of the world as per ancient Egyptians. The temple stands dramatically at a bend in the Nile where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles were believed to bask along the riverbank in reverence to the god they represented. The dual dedication of this temple reflects the complex spiritual life of ancient Egypt.

After your visit, continue sailing along the Nile towards Edfu.

Upon arrival, explore the remarkable Temple of Horus, the most perfectly preserved of all the Nile temples. Dedicated to Horus, the falcon headed sky god and son of Isis and Osiris, this impressive sanctuary offers an extraordinary glimpse into Ptolemaic temple architecture, towering pylons, and beautifully carved reliefs that remain strikingly intact.

Return to your cruise and sail onward, crossing the historic Esna Lock, a fascinating experience as the ship is raised and lowered between different water levels of the Nile.

Continue sailing to Luxor for dinner and overnight on board the cruise..

Day 7 Sunday, August 01, 2027 – Valley of the Kings & Luxor (B, L, D)

Cross to the West Bank of the Nile and enter the legendary Valley of the Kings, the vast royal necropolis often described as a city of the dead. Here, the magnificent tombs of 62 pharaohs have been discovered, carved deep into the desert rocks. These tombs were intricately decorated with vivid colors, sacred texts, and symbolic scenes intended to guide the pharaohs safely into the afterlife. Visit several of these remarkable royal tombs and experience firsthand the artistry and spiritual depth of ancient Egyptian burial traditions.

Continue to the extraordinary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a striking architectural masterpiece built to honor one of the very few female pharaohs in Egyptian history. Rising gracefully from the desert plain in a series of elegant terraces, the temple blends harmoniously into the towering limestone cliffs that frame it, creating one of Egypt’s most dramatic landscapes.

On your way back to your Nile cruise, stop at the famed Colossi of Memnon, two monumental 66-foot, one-thousand-ton statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. In ancient times, Greek visitors reported hearing mysterious sounds at dawn from these statues, believing they emitted haunting voices. Although weathered by time and damaged by both natural forces and early travelers, they remain an impressive and powerful sight.

Return to the cruise for lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.

In the evening, enjoy a charming horse carriage ride along the Corniche of Luxor, passing by the historic Sphinx Road, the lively local market, and pausing for memorable photos in front of the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple, viewed from the outside.

Day 8Monday, August 02, 2027 – The Total Solar Eclipse & Karnak (B, L)

After breakfast, disembark from the ship and transfer to the designated eclipse viewing site in Luxor.

From this privileged location, witness the extraordinary Total Solar Eclipse, which will reach its greatest duration of totality, an exceptional 6 minutes and 21 seconds, directly from our viewing site. This remarkable and rare celestial event is one of the most significant astronomical phenomena of the century. An eclipse offering this length of totality will not occur again until the year 2114, making this an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.

Following this awe-inspiring moment, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, often referred to as the “Temple of Temples.” Recognized as the largest place of worship ever built, Karnak is a vast complex constructed and expanded over many centuries by successive pharaohs. Within its grounds stands the extraordinary Hypostyle Hall, an immense forest of towering stone columns, covering an area larger than the entire Notre Dame Cathedral. Walking among these colossal pillars offers an overwhelming sense of scale, grandeur, and ancient devotion.

After your visit, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 9Tuesday, August 03, 2027 – Nile Farewell Celebration (B, D)
