Ouarzazate’s other nickname, “The Doorway to the Desert” is just as well suited. With its wonderful kasbahs and sceneries, and with its Cinema Studio, Ouarzazate served as décor for many great international movies (Gladiator, Troy, Babel, Games of thrones, Lawrence of Arabia, the Mummy…), and is now known as the Moroccan Hollywood.
Departure for a visit of Taourirt Kasbah at the gateway of Ouarzazate. Continue to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, UNESCO world heritage, that served as decor in many great movies. Have a 1h tour visiting the old fortified Kasbah and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
Departure to Skoura oasis to visit Amredhyle Kasbah. Promenade in the fabulous palmgrove. Return back to Ouarzazate by lunch time
Departure to Skoura for a short visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah. Continuation through the Roses Valley to visit the factory of water roses. Continuation to Et Kelaa de M’Gouna, Boulmane du Dades and Tinghir. After 20 km, you will discover the unique and fabulous Todra canyons. Free time to walk around the “gorges” and enjoy he sceneries and fabulous views. Optional Lunch. Afternoon, back to Ouarzazate.
Departure to Skoura to visit the famous Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the thousand kasbahs”. Continuation our excursion through the Roses Valley to visit the factory of water roses in Et Kella M’Gouna. Driving the 50km off-road crossing the amazing Valley of Roses reaching Ait Youl Kasbah. Continuation until we arrive at the Dades Gorges. We’ll have a walk down the gorges and enjoy the sceneries. Optional Lunch. Afternoon, back to Ouarzazate.
Early departure to the village of Agdz (short drink stop ). Continuation towards Zagora and Tamegroute. Visit of the famous Zaouïa and the old Koranic library, the manufacture of pottery. Upon arrival in Zagora, continuation to Tinfou sandy dunes to admire the huge spaces of the sandy desert. Optional lunch. Afternoon, return back to Ouarzazate .
Departure to the well known Ait Benhaddou Kasbah ( UNESCO heritage), crossing the Ounilla Valley through 35km off-road tracks, ancient caravan roads to cross the High Atlas Mountains towards Marrakesh. Arrival at Telouet around lunch time. Visit the Kasbah of the Pacha El Glaoui, unique in its construction mixing Andalousian and Berber concepts. Optional lunch.. Afternoon, return back to Ouarzazate.
